RADIOCHEMISTRY : Methods and applications in Radiochemistry

12/02/2018 to 16/02/2018

Coordinator:
Expected Outcome:

Radioactive materials play an important role in many areas of science and technology. Some of our most pressing problems in nuclear energy production are connected to the chemical properties of radionuclides, e.g. the waste management problems. On the other hand, the multitude of applications of the tracer technique has provided us until now with important insight e.g. in biochemistry and physiology and is being applied every day in medicine to diagnose and treat diseases.

Intended Participants:

The course is a Seminar of the UPV Master on Industrial Safety and Environment, offered to CHERNE institutions as far as places are free.

Prerequisites:
The participants must have a basic knowledge in chemistry and in nuclear physics (type of radioactive disintegration, period of a nuclear emitter,…)
